Remembering Leland
Friday 14thThis year's Distinguished Gentleman's Drive hits especially close to home. Leland Roussa, my best friend of 35 years, ended his life this past April. He was suffering a long and silent battle with depression. My wife Michele and I would like to honor Leland by dedicating this year's fundraising efforts to his memory.
Leland was my fishing partner and my cruising pal. We discovered all the winding roads together during high school and college. We often dreamed of cruising those roads in our own classic cars one day. That day finally came when Michele and I purchased our 1977 MGB. I finally was able to take Leland for a drive along one of our favorite routes by the river. We had a great ride and a lovely conversation... It was only days before his death.
Movember Foundation's Distinguished Gentleman's Drive is one of the largest fundraisers for Men's mental health and suicide prevention. Help me honor my best freind and prevent men's suicide by donating to the Leland Roussa Memorial Rallye Team.
