Thursday 14th

Two weeks until the drive!

I went out to find some tweed last night and this twill jacket just jumped out and bit me. It's just a timeless look that I can use as a blazer with jeans and slacks that I can wear solo with a crisp shirt and complimentary vest. 

This Saturday I plan to do a scouting run with some friends and see if there are any surprises on the route and find a rest stop along the return trip. I also want to confirm that the parking situations at the various stopping points are as promised.

PS: We have opened up the event to non-RCLUB members who wish to cruise with us in support of the cause.

PPS: If there are matching pants, always take them! You never EVER get a second chance at matching pants!

Sunday 27th

I have long believed in the notion that we can create meaning for others, and that it's up to us to create our own fun. Sometimes, I even try to do both at the same time, and that's what this is.

I wanted to participate in The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive since the inaugural 2021 event, but a Toronto event wasn't forthcoming. I reached out to the owners of RCLUB (a private car club of which I am a member) to ask if they would like to start something and they said "indubitably" (I may be heavily paraphrasing).

I don't know how big this event is going to be or what it is going to happen in the future, but I do know I was tired of waiting for someone else to start it, and I hope to meet some amazing people whom I otherwise might never have.

Getting behind the wheel for The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive

Thursday 20th On Sunday, September 24th 2023, I'll be taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive. Together with thousands of classic car enthusiasts around the world, I will be raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health for the charity, Movember.

Before the dapper day, I'll be looking to raise as much as possible for the cause, to help men around the world live happier and healthier lives. With men's chances of developing prostate cancer later in life increasing, and one man dying every minute by suicide, we must do all we can to prevent more men from suffering.

This is something that affects us all and together, we can make a change. Please give what you can.
