How Team Terrier came to be
Thursday 3rdwhat do Terriers, Sports cars and Mental Health have to do with each other? About 15 years ago people knew me for three things I was on the Food Network, I had Norwich terriers and I drove a yellow Ferrari. And I had a lot of fun. I did not know I was bipolar as heck. But bipolar Knew me. I had a spectacular crash and burn both the tabloid press and the criminal justice system had their way with me. When I returned to polite society I could either crawl under a rock or brush off my cargo pants pick up my dogs get my fancy sports car and show that mental illness does not have to destroy your life. So at dog events and car rallies I became that guy to talk to about mental illness because I lived openly with it. It's gotten to the point where groups ask me to come and talk to them. But i will only come if i can bring my dogs. So, when I found a car event that benefited men's mental health and my dogs could ride shotgun and I could call it team terrier. And we were challenged by another team of doodles. Oh, it was on! And that's how team terrier came to be. The charity benefits the Movember campaign for men's health specifically men's mental
let's do it again!
Tuesday 11thlast year we set out to raise $500 for the distinguished gentlemen's for mental health. We ended up raising $8010. Can we do that again? Who knows. Let's see. Team terrier is going to do its best. We have to the middle of to the end of September. Combine my three great passions sports cars writing with my dogs and spreading mental health awareness.
