Getting Gracie ready to join the Gaydon DGD run has been a bit of a Herculean task!
At 2pm on Friday we we still putting the dash and carpets back in place and not even close to being ready to load up our luggage for the journey from Newcastle Upon Tyne that google said would take us 4 1/2 hours to Warwick.
We finally got away just after 2.30pm and some 5 1/2 hours later arrived at our hotel.
Gracie did not miss a beat and the smiles from the people we passed on the motorway in a 66 year old car was well worth the effort these past few weeks.

On Sunday, September 28th 2025, Eve, Molly, and I with Gracie our 1959 Jaguar Mark IX will be taking part in The Distinguished Gentleman's Drive from JLR Classic in Gaydon.
Together with thousands of classic car enthusiasts around the world, we will be raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health for the charity, Movember.
Before and on the dapper day, we will be looking to raise as much as possible for the cause, to help men around the world live happier and healthier lives.
With men's chances of developing prostate cancer later in life increasing, and one man dying every minute by suicide, we must do all we can to prevent more men from suffering.
This is something that affects us all and together, we can make a change so please give what you can.
Gracie has already successfully managed the drive from Newcastle Upon Tyne to Warwick of some 225 miles with smiles on our faces every mile and those many other road users who we passed!
We do hope you will sponsor us for this amazing and important cause.
Thank you
Mark & Eve xx
